Liverpool Youth Accommodation Assistance Company (LYAAC) is medium to long- term supported accommodation service for young people aged 16 to 25 and who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We provide supported accommodation for up to 2 years. We can house up to twenty (20) young people in a range of accommodation styles.

We offer a range of services to young people in the Liverpool and surrounding areas however you do not have to be from Liverpool to make a referral.

Once a young person has moved into LYAAC, they are provided with a case manager who will assist them to design their own case plan, focusing on their immediate needs and longer term goals such as assistance with studies, work, housing, vocational activities etc

Once you have been accepted into the service, after the initial interviews and assessments, you will be offered a Residential Tenancy Agreement (a lease). This means that you are a tenant who is protected by tenancy law.

If this is the first time that you are signing a contract or if you are under 18 years, you are entitled to seek independent advice.

Rent is 20% of a young persons income and there is a small charge for gas and electricity. Don’t worry if you don’t have any income when you refer. We can assist you to obtain an income.

A Bond is also required when moving in. We can assist you in applying to various services if you need assistance with getting the bond ready.

LYAAC gratefully acknowledges the assistance of the Department of Community Services and the Office of Community Housing.
